Life & Style Weekly: Think Pink...and Red!

This week at Life & Style Weekly, we noticed a hot new color combo all over Hollywood- red & pink! This story was super fun to work on and one of my all-time favorites of my almost 4 years  at L&S. These hues got me super giddy and made me realize that just because its fall, doesn't mean we need to pack all of our brights away! Be honest- doesn't looking at these images just make you want to smile....and sip on a margarita? ;)

Gotta Gotta Get.... Got It!

I have been stalking the Sam Edelman "Adena" loafers on the web for well over a month! I just could never decide what color...gunmetal/rosegold/black/stone..you get the drift. Well as luck would have it, this lovely loafers floated through the fashion closet at Life & Style Weekly and I was smitten! I couldn't think about anything else...I haddddd to get them! Though choosing between the gunmetal/black/rose gold color was hard, I ultimately went with rose gold simply because I figured it would be a nice way to lighten up my outfits and I could get use out of them during the Spring 2012 season as well (...yes I know that is still soooo far away).

Style Scoop: Blush Nail Lounge

One of my college besties Disha Chandramani was telling me about how her friend Vanessa Diaz had started a new nail salon called Blush Nail Lounge and my first reaction was ..is there anything different about this compared to all the rest in NYC?..and let me tell you..there are a zillion reasons so I will break it down for you. Life & Style Weekly: Stars Sparkle in Champagne!

This week at Life & Style Weekly, we were getting tipsy on the champagne trend! Not only does it look super classy, its not dull the way you would imagine a taupe-like shade to look. As each piece was coming through the office, it made me just want to count down to the holidays. But here is the great news- its wearable NOW. One of my particular favs is the Fluxus top with the peplum detaling. It is super feminine and great for happy-hour or a night out on the town or even the office! For something that makes more of a statement, I fell  absolutely in love with the Suzanna Dai earrings. With exquisite detailing in these hand-made pieces, I promise you will get compliments each time you wear them :)

Bollywood Beat: Anushka Sharma sizzles in Dior Resort 2011

Anushka Sharma sizzled in a sea-foam green Dior Resort 2011 gown at the recently held GQ Man of the Year awards. She definitely gets the "Best Dressed" award from my side at this event. Not only does this ethereal shade look stunning against her complexion, I love how she kept it playful with fuschia painted lips and high-fashion with a nude mani.

Bollywood Beat: Force with John Abraham & Genelia D'Souza

So I went to go see Force with my hubster on our "Filmy Friday" date night and was expecting it to be sold-out. Much to my surprise- it was half-empty which was shocking considering for Mausam it was impossible to get tickets for opening weekend (and we all know how I felt about that movie). The story-line was ok, a bit more complex than Salman Khan's Bodyguard, but it still had its moment of "o-m-g how in the heck am I watching this!" However, I am obsessed with the song "Main Chali"! It also didn't hurt the fact that John Abraham looked amazing as always :)

Life & Style Weekly: Mini Pouches are Fall's Hottest Bag!

I don't know about you guys but my shoulders have been killing me from my over-sized handbags! Don't get me wrong, I love my large bags, they hold literally everything, but I just need a break! With fall weather already here (boo- I miss summer!), I've already started transitioning into heavier layering pieces. I figured a great way to lighten it up is by incorporating mini-bags into my wardrobe. Super lightweight, trendy, and a wide range to choose from- there is always something for each outfit. Plus, since they are much smaller, sometimes the price of 2 or 3 mini-bags can equal what you may have spent on 1 larger bag. While I was working on this story for Life & Style Weekly, there were just toooooo many to choose from. Check out some of my favorites above. Must-Have of the Moment: Isharya "Vendome" Stackable Rings

I was working on a "Cobalt Blue" trend story and saw these rings and fell in love! Although I adore over-sized cocktail rings, right now I have been coveting lighter pieces, especially ones that don't make my fingers sore the next day (trust me it happens!). These blue lapis resin and CZ beauties have the perfect balance :) Not only did I love the fact that they are stackable, the bold and rich color stands out a mile away- still giving me that statement effect that I always desire.
